Mariana Vega & LAI: Te Seguire

Mariana Vega is a Venezuelan pop singer/song writer. She started  to develop her music skills while going to school in Toronto, Canada. Shortly after, Mariana sang at a friends wedding where she was discover by an A&R. Consequently, her music career started to pick up by releasing a couple of albums and performing many shows. MAriana

In 2014 she released her EP Te Busco. This short list of tracks counted with Oscar D’Leon and LAI (Los Amigos Invisibles) as musical guests. As a result, Mariana won a Latin Grammy the same year within the category of best new artist.

Te Seguire was re-recorded  and counted with LAI as the backing band and arrangers for the recording. This version has a smooth balance between hooky pop melodies and a funky ballad beat that can only Los Amigos Invisibles can deliver. In addition, we may listen to frontman Julio Briceno sing one of the verses.

By the time the track reaches its bridge, we can recognize LAI’s unique sound through its acid jazz chords and disco music melodies. Together with Mariana’s distinctive voice Te Seguire is a track that can reach both mainstream and obscure audiences.

We look forward to hearing more of Mariana’s collaboration within different music styles.
